Arnco Fiber Optic Conduit, and Innerduct

Fiber Optic Conduit, and Innerduct

Arnco Communications
Aerial & Burial Conduit and Innerduct

Features:

Internal Wave-Rib™*
Externally smooth or
Longitudinal exterior ribs
Flexible polyethylene
Continuous long lengths
High tensile strength
Many colors and sizes
Prelubrication
Pull line installation
Footage markings

Benefits
Lower coefficient of friction
Eliminates need for special bends and sweeps
Faster installation and reduced labor costs
Fewer joints - better system integrity
Can be pulled over long distances with minimum elongation

Less Friction
Wave-Rib™ Conduit has been tested and proven to exhibit the lowest friction characteristics. When compared to smooth wall and straight ribbed conduit, in both lubricated and unlubricated comparisons, Wave-Rib™ Conduit allowed significantly longer cable installations. Test results for lubricated conduits, using the BellCore GR-356-CORE test method, proves that Wave-Rib™ Conduit has 75% less friction when compared to unlubricated smooth wall conduit.

Applications
Innerduct - dividing larger conduits, typically 3" to 6" diameters, by pulling in two or more polyethylene conduit, ranging in size from 1.00" to 1.25" diameters.
Direct Burial Conduit- directly burying one or more polyethylene conduits to make a single or multiple conduit system via installation methods such as trenching, plowing or directionally boring.

WAVE-RIB™ Conduit Does Not Have To Be An Innerduct
Wave-Rib™ Conduit can also be used in direct buried and concrete encased applications in addition to being used as an innerduct. It has excellent tensile properties, good pipe stiffness and superior chemical resistance making it ideal for direct burial. We offer several types that are well suited to the direct buried environment and are frequently installed by various methods such as: in a trench, plowed into the ground or directionally bored. Since Wave-Rib™ Conduit is supplied in continuous lengths on reels or in coils it is ideal for use where continuous long unbroken lengths are to be placed as would be the case in plowing and directionally boring the conduit.

Wide Range Of Sizes
Wave-Rib™ Conduit is available in sizes ranging from 1" to 3" inside diameters. Starburst standard wall thicknesses include Types 9 and 11, and Wave In standards include Schedule 40, Schedule 80, SDR 17, SDR 13.5 and SDR 11. Standard colors include black, red, orange, blue, green and terra cotta. Special sizes and colors are available upon request.

Easy To Assemble Multiple Conduit System
ARNCO® offers various spacer and coupling systems for use in building multiple conduit systems. The spacers are available in 1.25" and 1.5" sizes. The multiple conduit system is then pulled off reels assembled into the spacers above the trench then lowered into the trench. These operations are made possible due to the flexibility of the conduit. Shur-Lock™ couplers are available in 4 sizes from 1" to 2" and have o-ring seals that are both air and water tight. The couplers use stainless steel lock rings that offer excellent pull out strength and are a good choice
for use as transition couplings to go from HDPE to PVC type conduits.
