Quazite Composolite vs. Regular Concrete

What is Quazite Composolite?

Untitled Document

We are familiarized with regular concrete. It is aggregate of rocks and sand mixed with cement (powder) and water with iron bars. It takes 30 days to cure to its best strength of up to 3,000 to 4,000 pounds per square inch.

Quazite Composolite is “Polymer Concrete. It is similar to regular concrete, because it also consists of selected aggregates and sand; but we mix them with a special resin and use fiberglass instead of iron bars. We do not use water in the process. It is mixed together and poured into a mold to form the Box or the Cover. Before it is poured in, the mold is lined with a continuous fiberglass material. This fiberglass reinforces the “Polymer Concrete”, and it cures to a maximum strength of 11,000 PSI in a few hours.

Other Advantages Of Quazite Composolite Over Cement Or Concrete Junction Boxes

  • The weight of Quazite Composolite is 1/3 or regular Concrete.
  • Quazite Composolite is three (3) times stronger than regular concrete.
  • To install large junction boxes you need a crane and two Operators. Quazite Composolite can be installed by two laborers with shovels (simple, economical, quick installation).
  • Quazite Composolite transportation to the site is easier, faster, cheaper, and safe. Large concrete junction boxes weigh almost 1,000 Lbs. Quazite Composolite same size Junction Box weighs 200 to 300 Lbs. (This should be justification to prefer Quazite Composolite.)
  • Quazite Composolite covers are not slippery; iron or metal covers are heavier and slippery when wet.
  • Iron or metal covers are a hazard and must have a ground connection. [See N.E.C. rule Sec. 370-18 ( c ) ]
  • Quazite Composolite is not an electricity conductor, and does not need grounding. Thus it saves in the installation and greater Security factor.
  • It is three (3) times stronger than concrete and three times ligher than concrete.

The savings in transportation to the job, savings in time and labor, savings in installation,.its lighter weight, three times stronger, security, etc. at just a small difference in price. Quazite Composolite is the Best Buy Ever. In United States, many companies in Telephony,Communications, Power and Energy, and others have Quazite Composolite as their standard for Junction Boxes.
