This rack-mountable, deskside unit combines an advanced set of reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) features and supports two-to-eight processors, an integrated Fibre Channel disk subsystem, and a maximum of 64 GB of main memory for exceptional performance. The Sun Fire V880 server is binary-compatible with the entire line of Sun desktop and server systems, as well as their applications.

		Two-to-eight UltraSPARC III processors. A maximum of 64 GB of main memory. Integrated Fibre Channel disk subsystem with optional multipathing to all disks. This subsystem supports a maximum of twelve, 10,000 RPM 73 GB disks for a total capacity of 876 GB. Hot-swap PCI slots, disks, power supplies, and cooling fan trays.
